Frequently Asked Questions
How long is the free trial?
14 days, and no credit card is required to start one. Your card is only charged if you actively choose a paid plan after the trial ends.
What happens when my trial ends?
If you haven't added a payment method, your account is paused — not deleted, not auto-charged. Your data is preserved for 30 days, and you can reactivate any time by adding a payment method.
How much does SplitRE cost?
Pricing is based entirely on the number of active agents your brokerage has — every plan includes every feature, with no functionality locked behind a higher tier. See Pricing for current rates and annual-billing savings.
What's the difference between plans?
Only the active agent limit. Commission plans, cap tracking, CSV import/export, deal sharing, and everything else described in these docs works the same way on every tier.
What counts toward my agent limit?
Only active agents. If an agent leaves and you mark them inactive, they no longer count toward your limit — and you can reactivate them at any time without losing their cap history.
How does the annual plan work?
Annual plans are billed once per year at a discounted rate — roughly 30% less than paying monthly. You can cancel before your renewal date and you won't be charged again.
Can I change plans later?
Yes, upgrade or downgrade from Billing at any time. Upgrading mid-billing-cycle only charges you the prorated difference; downgrading takes effect at your next renewal rather than immediately.
Can I cancel anytime? Are there contracts?
Yes — there are no long-term contracts. Cancel anytime from Billing.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, within 7 calendar days of your most recent billing date (monthly or annual). Refunds are issued for the amount paid minus Stripe's payment-processing fees, and partial-period refunds aren't available outside that 7-day window. See our Refund / Cancellation Policy for the full terms and how to request one.
Does SplitRE integrate with QuickBooks?
SplitRE exports a QuickBooks-ready CSV file for any deals you select — closing date, property address, agent, GCI, agent net, broker net, and pre-formatted memo lines for QuickBooks invoices and bills. Select your deals, click export, and hand the file to your bookkeeper — no re-keying, no live connection to maintain. It's not a live, direct sync between the two systems. See Sharing and Exporting Deals.
Do my agents need their own login?
No. Agents don't have a portal or dashboard. Once a deal is confirmed, you can email them their commission breakdown or download it as a PDF, both with a single click, right from the deal row. See Sharing and Exporting Deals.
Is my data secure?
Yes. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256), with row-level security isolating each brokerage's data from every other brokerage's. You can export all of your data at any time.
Can I migrate from spreadsheets or another system?
Yes — both agents and historical deals can be bulk-imported via CSV, including a field for an agent's prior cap balance so their cap tracking stays accurate from day one. See Importing Agents and Deals via CSV.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
It remains available to export for 30 days after cancellation. After that window, it's permanently deleted. See Exporting Your Brokerage Data to download a copy before that happens.
Can one login manage multiple brokerages or offices?
Not currently — each account is scoped to a single brokerage. If you run a multi-office or franchise operation, reach out through the contact options on Pricing to discuss options.
How does the annual commission cap work?
Once a brokerage has collected a set dollar amount from an agent in a calendar year, that agent keeps everything (or pays only a flat post-cap fee) on every deal for the rest of the year. See Setting Up Agent Caps and the Glossary for the exact mechanics.
